Genealogy Librarian – Sapulpa Library
FLSA: Hourly
Summary
Provide assistance to the public for genealogy research, checking in and out materials, shelving books and providing assistance to the library staff.
Essential Functions
Assist the public with genealogy research through available records.
Maintain files and directories for easy access to historical events.
Answer questions and provide assistance to library patrons as needed, such as locating specific materials, giving directions, research suggestions and assistance with office
equipment.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some shelving is required. This would require the ability to lift and shelve books, bend and stoop.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Hours are scheduled by the Library Director
Travel
Limited travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associates degree in a related field
- One or more years of related experience.
