NEW GUIDELINES WILL HELP PROTECT CUSTOMERS AGAINST IDENTITY THEFT

As of March 2, 2009, the City of Sapulpa customer service representatives will ask customers for more information when you contact us about an account.  That is because the City of Sapulpa and other companies are complying with a new federal program (Red Flag Rules) intended to help safeguard against identity theft.  The new guidelines also mean that the City of Sapulpa will not be able to provide information to any third party who may call about a customer account – even if the person calling is the spouse or other family member of the account holder. (Unless that person is listed on the account as a contact person)
