REGULAR MEETING - 7:00 P.M., COUNCIL CHAMBERS

As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the City of Sapulpa, State of Oklahoma, will hold a regular meeting on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 7:00 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Sapulpa City Hall, 425 East Dewey, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

MEETING PROCEDURE: Comments from the public are welcome at two different times during the course of the meeting: (1) Comments not scheduled on the Agenda will be heard under Public Comments - Agenda Item No. V.; and (2) Comments on all scheduled Agenda Items will be heard immediately following the presentation by staff or petitioner. Please wait until you are recognized by the Mayor and keep comments as brief as possible. The City Council will act on the Agenda Item after comments from the staff and the public has been heard.

PUBLIC COMMENTS: The purpose of the Public Comments Section of the Agenda is for members of the public to speak to the City Council on any subject not scheduled on the Regular Agenda. Department as Captain.

CONSENT AGENDA: All matters under "Consent" are considered by the City Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion. Any City Council member may, however, remove an item from consent by request.

 

A. Consider a motion approving Minutes of the regular City Council meeting of April 17, 2006.

 

B. Consider approving Regular Claims in the amount of $1,053,568.35.

 

C. Consider approving following Prepaid Claims:

1. Health Insurance Claims - $81,225.60

 

D. Consider approving Payroll Claims in the amount of $312,515.07.

APPROVALS AND ACCEPTANCES

B. Resolutions:

 

1. Consider a Resolution of the City of Sapulpa approving participation

in the Metropolitan Tulsa Home Consortium and authorizing the

Mayor to execute a Home Investment Partnership Act Consortium

Agreement.

 

2. Consider adopting a Resolution of the City of Sapulpa, Oklahoma,

declaring the public necessity for the taking, appropriating and

condemning Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 2, Beard Addition to the

City of Sapulpa, Creek County, State of Oklahoma, for the public

purposes in connection with the City Flood Hazard Mitigation

Program and authorizing and directing the proper officials of the

City of Sapulpa to institute proceedings to condemn said lands; and

declaring an emergency.

 

C. Bid Awards:

 

1. Consider awarding the bid for Emergency Equipment Plus

Installation on Seven Police Pursuit Vehicles to Fleet Distributors as

the only responsive bid.

D. Contracts:

 

1. Consider approving the Agreement with Southwestern Bell Telephone,

L.P. for renewal of the services of our Plexar II telephone system for a

period of one year, with the option of four one-year renewals.

 

2. Consider approving the Agreement with Moore’s Construction

Company, Inc., for Renovation of 1978 Sahoma Lake Covered Fishing

Dock.

 

3. Consider approving the Agreement with Kleinfelder for Geotechnical

Engineering Services related to the Martin L. King Boulevard

Rehabilitation – Phase II, between Burnett and Hickory for a cost of

$1,900.00.

 

4. Discuss and consider approving an Addendum to the Inter-Local

Cooperation Agreement between the City of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and

Creek County Industrial Authority and authorize the Mayor to execute

the same.

 

5. Consider approving a contract between the City of Sapulpa and the

Metropolitan Tulsa Home Consortium and authorizing the Mayor to

sign the contract.
